First off, I just want to say thank you for all your love and support these past five years. It has been a blessing to be the voice of Brock and I had a great run. I have many fond memories.
From being cast back in January 2006, to our promotional appearance at San Diego Comic Con that summer (my first every SDCC appearance), to the excitement of recording every week and watching every weekend. This has been my longest run as a character in any medium, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
In my five years, I recorded over 200 episodes (I believe 236, but I might be off), 5 movies and a few specials. In that time, I have also supplied voices to numerous creatures and guest characters, but Brock has always been there through it all.
Today’s episode saw Brock leave the team to pursue a career as a Pokemon doctor. And as he heads off to Pewter city, everyone wishes him much success. But just because he’s no longer part of the traveling party, it doesn’t mean his adventures are over.
And neither are mine. :)
In my career, I continue to work on many other productions (stage, film and voice). Plus, I have had the good fortune to continue working behind the scenes on Pokemon and I hope you’ll all continue to follow Ash’s adventures when they take him to Unova next week.
To my fans, thank you again for everything. I have met many of you over these last five years and it’s always nice to hear your kind words of support. Voice actors spend a good portion of their time enclosed in a small booth with only a microphone in front of them. Don’t get my wrong, I love my job, and it is so great putting everything into a performance, but it is equally thrilling to hear that what I’m doing is so well received by so many. I hope to meet many more of you in the future and I hope you’ll continue to follow my adventures.
It’s been one heck of a ride, and I’ve loved every minute!
